General Rules
• You must be 10 years or older to register.
• One account per person.
• Be respectful to everyone unless in role-play your character is disrespectful.
• No spamming. Anywhere.
• No advertising except on appropriate boards.
• No profanity. Due to younger ages on the forum, profanity of any kind is intolerable. The only exception to this rule is in role-play.
• Frigid Air is a place of correct grammar, spelling, punctuation, etc. Chat speak is not accepted here. Minus the occasional "LOL", "GTG", or "OMG". As long as it isn't something you always do.
• Don't post any personal information anywhere.
• Try not to double post. If it happens here and there, it's okay. But there is a modify button that you can use to edit your posts. Please use it.
• Activity is hard to fulfill and the staff understands this. If you know you are going to be gone for a while, announce it in the Absent board. If you do not announce that you will be inactive and are so for a month, your account will be removed.
Role-play Rules
• Before role-playing, please understand the plot. This is a must.
• Before role-playing, your cat(s) must be accepted.
• When role-playing, use the name of the cat who is speaking in context so everyone knows who is talking and doing the actions.
• Do not role-play as someone else's cat unless you have adopted it.
• Your cats must have names that other people would be familiar with. Names like Sugarcube or Sweetheart will not be accepted.
• If a cat personally offends your cat ("you") in role-play, you may report it to staff but the staff has the right to deny or assume the use of role-play to inadvertently offend you.
• Do not kill or seriously injure any other member's cat without getting public permission first. This means in the Resources thread only.
• All of your cats' profiles or your Notepad must be linked in your signature.
Use this code:
• Everything you say out of character within role-play must either be in parenthesis or brackets, or labeled with some form of "OCC:" at the beginning and a form of "/OCC" at the end. (The "/" means "end".)
• You can have as many cats as you can handle. If any of your cats are inactive, they will be removed and unable to be role-played with.
• You are allowed only 2 high positions and they cannot be within the same clan.
• When "making" kits, the detailed version should be forgotten. Skip over the mating and just have the kits. (No more than 3 kits at a time - this rule is open to change) You also do not have to be romantically involved with another cat. Those things do happen with cats.
• When typing a post, you must type at least 100 characters or else the button to post will not be active. One you have reached 100 characters, it will become active. This is to keep the meaningless posts down as much as possible.
• Try to make your posts as clarified as possible using past tense and quotations when speaking. You should always type at least 4 or 5 sentences that can keep the role-playing going.
Do NOT post posts dealing with your cat just sitting around. That is extremely counter productive.
• Only the leader and sages can receive prophecies from the Ancient Lights. If you'd like a regular cat to receive a prophecy, it must be in a plot that I have approved.
• Keep the action going! Being bored is rarely an accepted excuse. No action is the obvious cause of inactivity, so why not just keep things active?
